Overview
George’s Place Agricultural Learning Center is the educational heart of Strohmer’s Farm in Woodstock, Maryland. Our programs connect children and families to real farming through interactive lessons, animal experiences, gardens, and seasonal activities.
Our mission is to teach where food comes from, how animals are cared for, and why agriculture matters—all in a fun, hands-on farm environment.

Each visit is designed to be engaging and age appropriate. Activities may include:
• Meeting and learning about farm animals• Short guided farm lesson• Hands-on activity (craft, planting, feeding, or sorting)• Photo time and farm exploration• Optional add-ons such as wagon rides or themed stations (seasonal)
